Samuel James

West Virginia native Samuel James calls himself a “singer-song rocker,” blending intimate storytelling with influences from Americana, soft rock, and country. Inspired by the people and places that shaped him, his songs explore the meaning of home, the roads that lead us away from it, and the ones that bring us back.
Performing since the age of 14, he’s shared stages with artists including Philip Bowen, Trey Lewis, and Arlo McKinnley, bringing those stories to life with an energetic, heartfelt live show. His sound feels both familiar and fresh, like John Mayer raised in Appalachia.
