How To Porch Fest!

Kenwick Porch Fest is a neighborhood musical festival, hosting over 75 musicians and bands on front porch venues throughout the Kenwick Neighborhood. KPF 2026 is on Saturday, August 22nd from 2-9pm. You can build your own line-up for the day HERE.

When is Kenwick Porch Fest?

Kenwick Porch Fest is Saturday, August 22nd, from 2:00-9:00pm. Musucians play 30 minute to hour and a half sets at regular 15-minute intervals throughout the neighborhood.

What is Kenwick Porch Fest?

Kenwick Porch Fest is a FREE, family-friendly community event where a variety of local musicians perform on neighborhood porches. We also host food trucks and other vendors.

Kenwick Porch Fest is 100% volunteer-organized, volunteer-run, and donation-based.

Where does Kenwick Porch Fest take place?

Kenwick Porch Fest happens throughout Lexington, Kentucky's Kenwick Neighborhood. Our official boundaries are Richmond Road to Aurora Ave/Robertson Ave, and from Walton Avenue to Sherman Avenue. Find more details HERE.

I'm coming from outside the neighborhood, where can I park?

We recommend that you arrive to KPF on two wheels. Bikes, scooters, skates- all are welcome and encouraged.

If you are driving to KPF, we recommend parking along Ashland Avenue, Meniffee Avenue, or Sherman Avenue. Pack a wagon or tote and walk from porch to porch. There is limited parking deeper in the neighborhood with narrow streets. There is NO PARKING directly in front of our front porch venues.

What if I don't wait to drive to KPF?

Our neighborhood is along the new FREE LexRide connector bus! Buses start running at 4pm and stop every 12-15 minutes. Our nearest stops are at Walton & Bullock and Walton & National Avenue. Wanting to stop at The Burl or Distillery District before/after KPF? LexRide will take you there! You can find more info and their live route tracker HERE.

What kind of music can we hear at Kenwick Porch Fest?

There will be a wide variety of musical genres at Kenwick Porch Fest! This year we are hosting a wide range of musicians including high school garage bands, acoustic emo, pop punk, ukelele, old time, hip hop, and drum circles- just to name a few! You can explore our performers by genres on our 2026 Line-Up page.

What should we bring?

You can bring a cooler, a wagon, food, bag chairs, lawn chairs, blankets, etc. This is a relaxed event.

Kenwick Porch Fest is a RAIN OR SHINE EVENT. IT's Kentucky in August, anything can happen!

Our dream KPF Wagon includes:

- water

- other drinks

- cash for tipping musicians

- folding chairs

- sunscreen

- bug spray

- an umbrella

- hats for shade

- a sense of adventure!
